Medical Treatment Visa (Subclass 602)

This is a temporary visa that lasts up to 3 months unless applicants meet the exemption criteria in which case they may be granted a more extended stay. Applicants may stay until their treatment and consultations are complete. Depending on their circumstances they may be allowed single or multiple entries into Australia.


Summary:
Have medical treatment or medical consultations in Australia
If you are receiving an organ from an organ donor or willing to donate an organ.
Wishing to travel to support someone donating an organ or receiving an organ transplant who also holds this visa.
If you are receiving an organ from an organ donor that is travelling to Australia with you.
Aged 50 years or older and already in Australia, and having been refused an Australian permanent visa on health grounds and the applicant being unable to depart Australia due to these health reasons.
