The (Last) Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 115) is a visa for people whose only remaining relatives are usually resident in Australia and are Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens.

This visa is an off-shore visa and to apply the applicant must:

• be in outside Australia when they apply and when the decision is being made.
• be sponsored by an eligible sponsor i.e. must be applicant’s brother, sister, parent (or step-equivalent) or their partner, who are settled and usually residing in Australia and they must be one of the following: an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen
• must have a commitment by a person or an organisation prepared to provide them with an Assurance of Support.
