Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 835)
The (Last) Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 835) is a visa for people whose only remaining relatives are usually resident in Australia and are Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens.
Visa Requirements
- This visa is an onshore visa and to apply the applicant must:
- be in Australia holding a substantive visa which allows them to make a further application.
- be sponsored by an eligible sponsor i.e. must be applicant’s brother, sister, parent (or step-equivalent) or their partner, who are settled and usually residing in Australia and they must be one of the following: an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen
- must have a commitment to a person or an organisation prepared to provide them with an Assurance of Support.
