There are very few people being granted travel exemptions to enter and leave Australia, with only 15,801 people entering the country between the 20th of March to the 20th of August.
This is compared to 9.3 million visitors in 2018-19.
Information released by the Department of Home Affairs reveals the most travel exemptions have been issued to people from New Zealand at 786 with The United Kingdom at 682 second most, followed by The United States at 494 total exemptions.
The total amount of exemptions issued between the 20th of March and the 20th of August was 4,627.
