To apply for the investor visa category (the independent and state-sponsored) you have to show a total of 3 years of experience of direct involvement in managing one or more qualifying businesses or eligible investments.
In one of the 5 years before application, you should have maintained direct involvement in managing a business in which you or you and your spouse had an ownership interest of 10% of the total value of the business
