Permanent (Business) Residence Visas

If you already have a provisional visa you are eligible to apply for permanent residence, provided you have established a business with the requisite level of business activity, or maintained the requisite level of investment in Australia.

There are some common criteria for all permanent business visas, according to which, you should have an overall successful business career with no history of unacceptable business activities.

There are 4 categories, in which you may obtain sponsorship, but it is not mandatory. These categories are:

Business Owner
State/territory sponsored Business Owner
Investor
State/territory sponsored Investor

The categories of permanent business visas in which state/territory sponsorship is mandatory are:

Business Talent (Migrant)
Established Business in Australia (EBA)
Regional Established Business in Australia (REBA)

Business Owner (Permanent Residence) & State/Territory Sponsored Business Owner (Permanent Residence)

To apply for a Business Owner visa (either independently or state/territory sponsored), you must have held one of the qualifying visas for at least 1 year in the 2 years preceding the application.
